The Manitoba Film & Sound Recording Development Corporation, dba Manitoba Film & Music (MFM), is a statutory corporation of government, funded by the Province of Manitoba through Manitoba Sport, Culture, Heritage and Tourism.
MFM is accepting applications for its newest team member and is seeking an individual with business and analytical acumen to join our film programs department. Reporting to the Director of Film Programs and Tax Credits, the Business Affairs Analyst, Film Programs shall be responsible for analysis and processing of all MFM’s film and television program applications to ensure eligibility from application through to completion.
Essential skills include exceptional attention to detail, superior comprehension and analysis abilities, commanding time management skills, and an affinity for client services. The candidate must be fluent in English (proficiency in French is an asset) and be available Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Prior knowledge of MFM’s film/television programs and the film industry is a definite asset.

- Knowledge of/experience in the film/television industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
Film program duties:
- Advise and assist clients with film program eligibility, application requirements and status inquiries.
- Review, analyze and assess all film program applications and supporting documentation for compliance with agency guidelines and industry standards.
- Prepare analysis reports with funding recommendations, decision letters and financing agreements for review by Director of Film Programs and Tax Credits.
- Review and monitor production paperwork, reporting deliverables and screen credits to ensure adherence to funding agreements.
- Participate in program planning, guideline development and maintain industry contacts and communication briefs.
Industry outreach duties:
- Collaborate on strategic projects, outreach efforts and industry events to promote and support Manitoba’s film industry.
- Liaise with clients, government officials and industry partners, while representing MFM at key events and on committees.
