MANITOBA FILM & MUSIC offers a series of music funding programs to help expand the already impressive Manitoba music scene.
As a Government funding agency, we encourage music recording artists and songwriters in the Province of Manitoba to develop and promote their skills with assistance through the following funding programs:

Guidelines for all 3 Levels

Level 1 – to help you record a demo to be used for calling card purposes or as pre-production for upcoming full length releases.
Completion Requirements
Level 2 – to help you record an EP to be used for calling card purposes or to be released for sale through all mediums (including online distribution).

Level 3 – to help you record and manufacture a full length CD with the intent and expectation of commercial release.

This funding program was developed to assist Manitoban artists, producers and distributors to market and promote a completed music recording project. In the past, this has included the manufacturing of merchandise, creation of a website, or development of an EPK.

This program is designed to encourage non-Manitoban artists to travel to Manitoba and utilize Manitoban recording studios, producers, and/or management. This program is also intended to increase business and experience for Manitoban music recording industry professionals.

RECORDING ARTIST TOURING SUPPORT PROGRAM
Our Touring Support program is intended to provide Manitoban artists/groups with the opportunity to reach audiences outside of their hometown. This includes traveling across Canada, through the United States, or internationally.
